Official, sworn documents are delivered exclusively as hard copies. They must be bound together with the original document, an ordinary copy or a legalised copy (generally, you can acquire legalised copies at public notaries or at your local town hall). If you need additional legalisation of the signature of the sworn translator (a so-called apostille) in The Netherlands, you can go to the district court where the signature of the translator is registered. If it concerns a sworn translation made by Drs. Rudolf Kooijman, then you can go to the district courts of Rotterdam, The Hague (Den Haag), Den Bosch and Zutphen for such an apostille. An apostille is generally required for official documents that are to be used in foreign countries, for example for the marriage ceremony of a foreign citizen.
